Aside from the vegetarian and dog situation, I'm in the same boat. I don't know about you, but by the time I sit down (last of course) to eat the meal, it often doesn't even look good to me. Chaos, complaining and cock-eyed manners are not an atmosphere conducive to eating even the most gourmet meal. (Which mine usually aren't.) Unless...you add the great equalizer -- wine.
