Unanswered Question

My question for the day–when you spend the day coughing up all the bits stuck in your lungs and airways, the tickle won’t leave the back of your throat, and your nose is running such a steady stream that you need to hoard the secret stash of Kleenex with lotion, you feel like your body is emptying itself of the illness that consumes it, why do you feel like your brain is filled with cotton–unable to think, concentrate, or sleep?  Shouldn’t it be empty and free?  C
